Another prize win

The fine fellows over at Cannister & Grape recently held a big give-away celebrating the 7th anniversary of their blog, and yours truly was one of the lucky recipients of some very nice swag in the form of a bundle of the new Frostgrave figures!  Thank you very much for the prize Millsy and Evan et al; I can't wait to get some paint slopped onto those figures!

I have been quite fortunate in the past with regards to these contests - earlier this year saw a prize from Jon at Palouse Wargaming Journal, and in 2012, a DVD from Big Lee.

Again, a big thank you to all of you!

New bases for the Reptus, and Winner!

It has been a slow week for my hobbies, but I did manage to grab these:

These are the new bases for my Reptus troops, after I had to cut up the bases from some of the miniatures prior to stripping the paint.  I prefer round bases for skirmish types personally, so losing the square bases used previously is just fine.

And the big news of the week:  Over at the Palouse Wargaming Journal, Jon celebrated the crossing of some important milestones for his blog with a magnificent giveaway, and I won a copy of a book that I have desired for a long time, Neil Thomas' Ancient & Medieval Wargaming!  Pics will be posted upon arrival of course...

The prize has arrived!

As mentioned over at Big Lee's blog, I won a nifty DVD in a prize drawing.  And it has arrived!

Kudos to the Imperial War Museum for making the product 'All Regions' - yes it does work on my Region 1 machine; and many many thanks to Big Lee for the give-away!  I am going to give it some thought and see if I can come up with something around here that I can give-away in a similar fashion...

I'm a winner!

Color me shocked and amazed, but I have won a prize draw for a nifty-looking DVD.  Big Lee over at his blog posted a contest for a prize give-away last week.  The steps were simple - be a follower of his blog (if you do not already follow along there you should) and post a comment.  So I did, fueled by my recently renewed fascination with AFV's due to my involvement with World of Tanks.  Lo and behold, I was chosen as the winner!
