A MAATAC game...

Eric Hotz recently put on a great-looking MAATAC scenario for the Trumpeters club - wish I could have been there!

  1. I plan to put on another MAATAC game on August 12th, 2011. This will be a slightly different game than the last game I hosted. The next game will be a free-for-all combat with 4 races fighting each other for control of the gaming table. This will be a large game with close to 80 MAATAC vehicles in play plus infantry. The Enolmolians, Terrans, Aquarians and the Carnivores. Last alien race standing wins the game. Should be fun!

  3. I posted photos from our August 12th MAATAC game. This game used 80 MAATAC vehicles and included tanks/vehicles from the Terran, Carnivore, Aquarian and Entomolian collections. This was the largest MAATAC game I have put on to date, and I have been playing on and off now for more than thirty years. The modified version of the rules works smoothly enough to allow for larger numbers of vehicles in a game. This was a fast paced 4 player game with plenty of action that was played out in under 3 hours.. The photo gallery is located here: http://www.hotzmats.com/mat_gallery_dirt_planet_3.html

  4. I put another MAATAC game on December 3rd, 2011. This was a two-sided game with the Terrans and Carnivores vs Entomolian and Aquarians. It proved to be the most tense and fun game of the three games I have presented this year. Nail biting to the end with the victory going to the Entomolian and Aquarians by just a hair.

The next game I present will be on January 13th, at the Trumpeter Club, weather and time permitting. This year we haven't seen any snow, so perhaps our luck will last.

The next MAATAC game will be a free-for-all. Each player will take one tank, and can return to the game with another tank if they are destroyed. Players will gain points equal to the value of the tanks they destroy, but will also lose points equal to the value of the tanks they choose to play with. In short, this is a gladiator fighting style MAATAC game. It should be fun!
